Our clients are increasingly favouring us with their pictures, preferring to deal with the certainty of an agreed price rather than the ‘lottery’ of auction and high vendor’s commissions and other unexpected charges.

We Buy

There are certain types of 19th and early 20th century picture that we are always looking for, the most obvious being those of Scottish interest. This category would include pictures of Highland Cattle, sheep, deer and indigenous wildlife and sporting pictures. We are interested in interiors, genre, nudes, flowers and still life, coastal and marine subjects.

We are also keen to purchase 19th century Continental paintings, particularly Dutch Romantic paintings and early 20th century British etchings.

As mentioned elsewhere the emphasis is on quality and condition. We could write a long list of the artists and subjects we are looking for, but this would be limiting. If you have any painting, watercolour or etching to sell please contact us.
